Supporting local growers is an amazing thing you can do. One of the easiest and most delicious ways to do so is through a local CSA program.
If you are unsure of what CSA’s are, here is a quick explanation:
Community Supported Agriculture is a direct exchange between producers and consumers.
What happens is the consumer buys a share in the farm’s production at the beginning of the season, essentially partnering with the farmer and becoming members of the farm.
In exchange, the farm commits to providing quality produce, freshly harvested the previous day or even the same day of delivery or pick-up.

To make it easier for you to find a local CSA, I have done some digging and acquired a fantastic list of farms that offer CSA shares.
Now, I should note that in most cases, sign up for CSA shares is around March or before, but if you see one you like, just contact the grower directly and see if they have any spots left.
