I hope you have had a fantastic winter (that seems to be finally coming to an end) and are enjoying the beautiful days we are having so far this spring.
Whew! It has been awhile and I want to apologize for that. I will do better this year to keep these updates on a weekly-ish schedule.
Let’s talk farm news!
Jon has been busy tilling the beds and reforming them so we are ready to plant very shortly, so that’s exciting!
We got a bit of a late start with our seedlings, but they have been planted and will hopefully provide us with some delicious fruit and veggies later this season.
I have started growing pea shoots again, and am excited to bring them to the market in a couple of short weeks!
Some other exciting news is that I am making all-natural dog treats using seasonal ingredients as much as possible. So now both you and your pooch can enjoy a healthy snack from the market!
Things have changed a little bit market-wise and sadly we will no longer be at Warkworth Market at the Mews.
Instead, you can find us at the Cobourg Farmers’ Market every Saturday from 8am-1pm, starting May 7th and Colborne Farmers’ Market every Sunday from June to September 9am-12pm.
Colborne Farmers’ Market is brand new, so we are pretty excited to be part of its inaugural season!
As if two markets aren’t enough, we are going to have regular farm hours this year where you can come and get your fresh veggies and dog treats directly from us. When we figure out what those hours are going to be, you will be the first to know!
Thank you for being so patient with us and we look forward to seeing your smiling face at the markets and farm stand this year!
Your friendly neighbourhood growers,
Kathy and Jon
